Types of airbag cover installations. There are three types of airbag mounting techniques you are likely to encounter. Each type is shown and explained below, and comments are included to make your job easier and prevent damage to the car and airbag cover.

Direct install

This type of installation requires only the use of several screws to attach the airbag cover to your car's steering wheel center. Screws and washers are supplied with your airbag cover.

Snap-to-Bracket
For this type of installation, the molded cover must be separated from its bracket by pulling the locking tabs away from the bracket at several points. Pop-rivets and other fasteners may need to be removed in some situations.

Screw-to-bracket
After the airbag is removed from the vehicle, drill out the pop rivets. The cover can then be removed from the bracket. Our cover can then be attached to the bracket using screws and washers supplied with your order.
